There are three factors that are important for your balance sheet in Anno 1800 **. You can see them all next to your character image at the top left:

Every inhabited house on your island pays taxes and they migrate directly to your cash register as a fixed income. If you click on a building, you will receive all the relevant information. There you can see, among other things, the number of all residents in the four walls, but more importantly are their basic and luxury needs.

If you meet both needs, will increase your tax revenue. In the case of the farmers, this looks like this: For the basic need, work clothes and fish are required. The house then brings you four coins with an average income setting. If you satisfy your luxury needs, you increase the satisfaction of the house residents and you get a total of eight coins-a good deal.

But be careful that you do not offer overproduction. This only causes unnecessary costs. Therefore, only focus on what your population really needs.

If a house is fully busy and all basic needs are breastfed, you can upgrade and reach the next population. In this way, the farmers become hard and honest workers and later to become craftsmen.

This means that the residents develop further needs. They keep their previous needs. So new needs mean even higher tax revenues. If you are breastfeeding, you can already generate eleven gold coins from the house. Later even up to 1000 gold coins.

Earn money with trade

Of course there are other options to make the state treasury ring properly. Another good source of income is trading in your goods. But this requires commercial rights, which you develop through diplomacy. The fastest way to get them if you find a teammate on the menu that is good for you.

Have you found someone and received the commercial rights, you can visit his island and offer him your goods for purchase. In your account you can see all your goods and determined which and how many are sold and how many you want to keep. Consider that the teammate only buys the goods he needs. Therefore, sales may be modest.
